60-Year-Old Man Dies After Being Assaulted In Baltimore During Robbery: Police

A 60-year-old man has died after being assaulted by a man he tried to give a tissue on a Baltimore street, authorities say.

Officers arrived to the 600 block of South Kenwood Avenue around 5:40 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 20 where they found the victim being treated by medics, according to a spokesperson from the Baltimore Police Department.

The victim was approached by the suspect, who asked for a tissue, investigators said. 

As the 60-year-old victim searched for a tissue to hand to the suspect, the suspect shoved the victim into a vehicle, then pushed him to the ground. 

The suspect then stole the victim's wallet before fleeing the scene.

Police were informed on Sunday, Aug. 21 that the victim's condition had turned very serious, and the victim succumbed to his injuries on Monday, Aug. 22.

An autopsy of the victim ruled his death a homicide.
